Dear Fellow Rotarians,

I hope this message finds you all in good health and filled with the spirit of service. It is with great enthusiasm that I draw your attention to one of the fundamental pillars of our organization, The Rotary Foundation. Mike O’Bleness kicked off our month of programming focusing on Rotary Foundation Month with a wonderful presentation last week. Mike asked all Rotarians to take action at a variety of stations and the results were the following:
  • 16 club members acted and signed up to be either a Greeter, Sergeant-at-Arms, or Coordinate programs for a month

  •  5 club members took action and signed up for my Rotary accounts

  • 15 club members took action and signed up for Meals on Wheels and/or serving concessions at the Mountain America Center in the new year

  • Rotarians made 17 contributions for a total of $2,305 to help purchase bed linens for the Quido Children’s Hospital in Ecuador

  • 2 club members took action and opened a rotary direct account making monthly contributions

  • Many club members donated to end Polio Now
The Rotary Foundation has been at the heart of our service journey, driving positive changed and making a significant impact in our communities around the world. Through its support, we have been able to transform lives, provide clean water, promote peace and eradicate diseases.

Through the Foundation’s support, we have been able to transform lives, provide clean water, promote peace, and eradicate disease. It is a testament to the power of our collective action and commitment to Rotary’s mission: “Service Above Self.”

In the words of Rotary’s Founder, Paul Harris, “Whatever Rotary may mean to us, to the world it will be known by the results it achieves.” The Rotary Foundation embodies our collective efforts of what can be achieve when like-minded individuals come together for a common cause.

Together, we will Create Hope in the World.

Yours in Rotary,

Catherine
